Live printing for Toronto events
Shirts, hats and totes printed in front of your guests at MTCC booths, TIFF-week parties and Distillery District launches. We're a California crew that crosses the border for the job.
The Toronto scene
Why live printing works in Toronto
Toronto's event year is busiest from late summer on. Fan Expo fills the convention centre in August, the CNE takes over Exhibition Place right after, and TIFF turns King Street into one long run of brand lounges and parties in September.
Those crowds come ready to queue for anything good, and a live station gives them a reason to.
US-based, travels worldwide
Crossing the border, minus the headaches
Canada is the easiest international market we work. Power is the same 120V as at home, so our presses and heat equipment plug straight in with no conversions. Equipment crosses on an ATA Carnet, so it enters and leaves without duty.
The crew flies in and the gear ships ahead. MTCC and Exhibition Place both run booked marshalling for freight, so we line up the delivery window with show services early.
Toronto winters are a factor too. From December to March we plan for indoor setups and leave extra time on load-in days.
Merch Troop is based in La Habra, California. We run live printing across the US and travel internationally when the event is right, and Toronto jobs get the same crew and the same process.

Questions
Good to know
Is it hard to bring live printing equipment into Canada?
Not with the right paperwork. Our equipment travels on an ATA Carnet, and because Canada runs on 120V, it works without any power conversion.
Where is Merch Troop based?
We're based in La Habra, California, and we travel across the US and internationally. Toronto jobs get the same crew and process as our US events.
Can you handle a booth at MTCC or the Enercare Centre?
Yes. We coordinate electrical orders and freight delivery with show services, so the station is printing before the floor opens.
What does it cost?
It depends on how many stations you need, the number of guests and the event hours. Send the details and we'll come back with an itemised quote, travel included, within 24 hours.
